chairman — Kevin has received numerous leadership awards, some of which include NAFCU’s Professional of the Year and CA League Eternal Flame Award for his support of Korean and African American Credit Unions in Los Angeles. Kevin has been the CEO of a number of prominent credit unions, was a founder of the Northwest Compliance Group and also received CUNA’s Bergengren Award for High Achievements for his efforts to secure passage of H.R. 1151, the Credit Union Membership Access Act. Kevin’s recent appointment at Vice Chair on the Credit Union Advisory Council to the CFPB will help guide the development of the QCash product suite in a manner that is consistent with what regulators want to see.
CEO — Ben Morales has over 30+ years in the financial services industry leading Technology, Operations and new payment product development. His teams have been instrumental in architecting and innovating solutions to better position organizations for adaption to new or evolving trends. Specifically, Ben had the foresight to see the evolution of the smartphone and a connection to mobility and banking. His teams prototyped and deployed a mobile banking solution that was the base for what is now the Mobile Finance Manager product from AccessSoftek. As the original architect of QCash, Ben’s influence on simplicity automation and experience has allowed the product to evolve to what we see today.
Ben is very active in the credit union industry and was recognized as the CU Times IT Executive of the Year in 2009 by his peers. His participation in Filene Research’s inaugural innovation think tank (i3) helped initiate the program to what it is today. As a member of the CUNA Councils, Ben continues to stay engaged in supporting the cooperative industry.
